Successful events do not happen on their own. Behind every meaningful gathering stands a dedicated team of individuals who contribute their time, creativity, and commitment to transform an idea into reality.
The cultural event “Voices That Cannot Be Silenced – Afghan Women,” held on 20 June 2026 at Rommen Scene in Oslo, was the result of a collective effort by passionate organizers from AAB Norway and the Women's Justice Movement of Afghanistan (WJM). Through teamwork and dedication, they created a platform where the voices, experiences, and resilience of Afghan women could be celebrated through culture, art, literature, and community engagement.
The organizing team included:
Aniseh Asir – Project Leader and Artistic Director
Sogra Soltani – Marketing Coordinator
Naeema Asadi – Production Manager
Hoda Khamosh – Program Coordinator
Malihe Wakili – Bazaar Coordinator
Each member of the organizing committee played an essential role in ensuring the success of the event—from program development and artistic direction to production, promotion, and community engagement.
As one of the co-organizers, the Women's Justice Movement of Afghanistan expresses its deepest appreciation to all members of the organizing team for their hard work, leadership, and unwavering commitment. Their efforts made it possible to create an inclusive and inspiring space that brought together artists, activists, members of the Afghan diaspora, and supporters of women's rights.
The event served not only as a cultural gathering but also as a powerful act of solidarity with Afghan women and girls who continue to face systemic discrimination and gender apartheid in Afghanistan. Through art and collective action, the organizers demonstrated that the voices of Afghan women cannot and will not be silenced.
The Women's Justice Movement of Afghanistan remains committed to promoting culture, human rights, and international solidarity, and looks forward to organizing more initiatives that amplify the voices and aspirations of Afghan women.
Together, we proved that when dedicated individuals unite around a common purpose, culture and solidarity become powerful tools for resistance and hope.
